Annual Conferences & Thought Leader Luncheons

The NCBLN hosts an annual conference  in October, celebrating  National Disability Employment Awareness month.  Conference attendees include the NCBLN board of directors and members, business and community leaders, individuals with disabilities, government contractors, diversity and inclusion practitioners and other stakeholders.   Thought Leader Luncheons provide targeted presentations and interactive discussions on issues regarding diversity and disability inclusion. The NCBLN also recognizes and celebrates significant annual events, such as the anniversary of the signing of the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA) in July.

 

North Carolina Ready 2 Hire (NCR2H)

NCR2H is a program designed to prepare and support businesses interested in hiring and retaining persons with disabilities. NCR2H services are describe below and can be tailored to the individual needs of each business that contracts for NCR2H services.

  • Talent Seekers Training
  • “Ready to Hire Plans” (R2HP)
  • Training Webinars and Instructional Support
  •   Support in Identifying Measurable Outcomes

# CommunABILITY

 

#CommunAbility  is a program under development that will  engage business leaders, trained as career mentors. Business mentors will build relationships with students and returning veterans with disabilities to foster confidence and support them to achieve their long-term career goals.  The NCBLN is actively recruiting businesses and individual employers who are interested in assisting the NCBLN to develop these mentorships.
